What we use cookies for

Gup uses essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in to the dashboard, run the chat widget, and remember basic preferences. Our marketing site also uses Google Analytics cookies to measure traffic. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this site.

Essential cookies & local storage

Dashboard: session cookies from our authentication provider (Supabase) keep you signed in. Chat widget (on customer sites): local storage holds an anonymous visitor id, the active conversation id for up to 24 hours so refresh keeps the same thread (cleared when the chat is resolved), and language/sound preferences. These are strictly necessary for the chat to work and are not used for advertising.

Analytics cookies

Our marketing site uses Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visitors. We use this data to improve the site, not for advertising. You can block analytics cookies via your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Disabling essential dashboard cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. Clearing site data on a merchant’s site will start a new chat session in the widget. Blocking analytics cookies will not stop the site from working.
